Design Your Career at Wayamba University Of Sri Lanka

Wayamba University of Sri Lanka organized the Career Development Program “Design Your Career” as part of its career development initiatives, in which careerseminar.org played a key supporting role.

The seminar was held on Friday, 09 January 2026, at 10:00 AM on the university campus.

The presence of the Chief Guest: Prof. E. M. P. Ekanayake, B.Sc. (University of Kelaniya), M.Sc. (Kyushu University, Japan), D.Sc. (Kyushu University, Japan).

The keynote session was delivered by Abu Sufian Haider, Tech Entrepreneur | Philanthropist | Martial Arts Instructor.

The seminar focused on career planning, entrepreneurship, and business development, providing students with practical insights and structured guidance to support long-term professional growth.

Key discussion areas included:

• Career Development: Industry entry strategies, professional growth pathways, essential soft skills, leadership, and management development.
• Entrepreneurship: Developing an entrepreneurial mindset, value creation, and venture initiation.
• Business Development: Understanding the business lifecycle, growth strategies, business insights, and intrapreneurship.

The seminar was 100% free of charge, and digital certificates were provided to all participants.

The initiative was well received by students and faculty, and it is expected to foster future international, career-focused academic collaborations and programs.
